Family:
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers is just that – a family. Outside of working together members hunt together, fish together, become political activists together, coach little league and are scout leaders. Our organization hosts a member family picnic, children Christmas party, Easter egg hunt, a float for the St Patty’s Day Parade and golf outing. We have a fishing trip, softball team, retiree’s club and golf league. All of this is through the work of active individual members who love what they do. Being a member is a good choice for you - and your family.
Benefits:
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers sets the standard in wages and benefits for all electrical workers. Our benefits include Health Care, Retirement, Eye and Dental Plans. With the IBEW Local 380 your benefits don’t stop when you get laid off and they don’t change when you change contractors. Your family can be secure knowing your heath care coverage will be there during periods of unemployment.
Training:
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and our affiliate the J.A.T.C. and has a five year school designed to make you a qualified journeyman electrician - second to none! The apprenticeship is part field experience-40 Hour work week- and part class exercises. In addition to apprenticeship you can continue your education with a variety of Journeyman Classes held at various times throughout the year.
